The top of Dayara Bugyal is situated at an elevation of 10,000 ft. and can be reached after a 9 km trek from The Goat Village. The Goat Village is carved out by a women led construction team using earth-friendly material such as mud, stone and farmed pine-wood. While staying here, one can also make a day visit to the pristine Harshil Valley (54 Kms & approx. 1 hour 15 minutes), and to Gangnani Hot Water Springs (27 Kms & approx. 50 minutes).

Known for its scenic beauty and surrounded by the middle Himalayas, Village Raithal hosts the unique ‘Butter Festival’, locally known as ‘Anduri’, at DayaraBugyal sometime in the month of August, each year. The festival offers the visitors an opportunity to play Holi with butter, milk and ‘Chacch’ (buttermilk) on the lush green high altitude meadows, at 10,000 feets.
DayaraBugyal is also listed among the few largest and well known meadows in the Garhwal Himalayas. Situated at an elevation of 3048m, the top of DayaraBugyal can be reached after a 9 km trek beginning from The Goat Village, on a well-defined route. Here, to encourage responsible tourism, you will be escorted by guides who are not just trained in mountaineering, but also in ecologically-friendly ways of trekking and camping. The guides, porters, chefs and managers here mostly comprise of local women which becomes part of our rural women empowerment initiative in Uttarakhand.
